Lt Governor Cruz Bustamante gave Red Nation Celebration a resolution for creating American Indian Heritage Month

Governor Schwarzenegger offically recognizes November as American Indian Heritage Month for the The State of California

Red Nation Celebratioon produced seven events in The City of Los Angeles including Mayor Reception, Water Ceremony, Native Comedy Jam, Concert Series, Film Festival, Heritage Ball, Native Youth Films & workshop.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who attended the second day of The Third Annual Red Nation Film Festival and presented Romero with official Certificate's of Appreciation, citing her “vision and support in making American Indian Heritage Month a reality, for her leadership and extraordinary work in promoting and preserving American Indian culture in the arts and community, for her outstanding continuous support of justice not just in the American Indian community but for all Angelinos and women everywhere as well as the Red Nation Celebration for producing Red Nation Film Festival; and being at the forefront and showcasing American Indian stories of truth.”

Red Nation Celebration Celebrated 10 Years Excellence in Education Arts Culture Premiering the Best in Contemporary & Traditional American Indian Entertainment Since 1995.

May 2005 - Red Nation Celebration launches the First American Indian Film Festival in Los Angeles - The Entertainment Capital of the World" Keeping Our Native Image Strong and in the Face of the Industry.

May 2005 - Mayor James K. Hahn gave Red Nation Celebration and Spirit World Productions a Proclamation which states: 2005 American Indian Film Festival Day.

August 2005 - Red Nation Celebration Concert Series - back home where it all began 10 years ago during INDIAN MARKET in Santa Fe New Mexico. Summer August 2005 Red Nation Honored SWAIA's Board of Directors with Red Nation Traditional Drum for their support of Red Nation Celebration and American Indian Music.

November 2005 - The Second Annual Red Nation Film Festival - Finds it home during Native American Indigenous Nations Heritage Month. Mayor Villrarigosa honors Red Nation Celebration and Spirit World Productions for the dedication of sharing diversity, contemporary arts, cultrual education and traditional American Indain Entertainment to the City of Los Angeles.

CD RELEASE September 30th on Red Nation Records - The Best of Joanelle Romero aka RedHawk. (First time release of recording's produced by Legendary Leonard Cohen, Henry Louie, Rossco Beck, Kyle Johnson, Richard T. Red Nation Celebration produces "Warriors Against AIDS Benefit Concert" November 8, 2004 @ House of Blues in Los Angeles CA.

1993 was the first ever Warriors Against Aids Benefit Concert founded by Joanelle Romero.

Warriors Against AIDS Awareness Concert finds it home annually on Decemebr 1st - National AIDS Day.

Ms. Romero directed & produced the first American Indian aids television series for PBS in 1994.

February 2004 on Red Nation Records - LIVE The 8th Annual Red Nation Celebration Conert Series EAST COAST WEST COAST Double CD - An offiical Garmmy Event. Cleared in Entry Level of Grammy Awards nomination considertion in 13 categories.

Red Nation Celebration becomes "An Official Grammy Event" in NYC

Mayor of NYC Michael Bloomberg announces that: Dear Friends: It is a great pleasure to welcome everyone to the Bitter End for the 8th Annual Red Nation Celebration Concert Series - An Acoustic Evening with American Indian Songwriters. The City of New York is delighted to host this evening's celebration of traditional and contemporary American Indian music as well as the 45th Annual GRAMMY Awards. On behalf of our great City, I commend Spirit World Productions and all those who made this concert possible. Your unwavering support for American Indian artists and your commitment to sharing the beauty and great diversity of their music with the world are commendable. In additional, I congratulate tonight's distinguished guest of honor, Richard Brown and join with you in paying tribute to Randy Castillo for their significant contributions to the music industry. This evening New Yorkers and visitors will be dazzled by the music of the very best American Indian musicians, including RedHawk, Sage, Aaron White and so many more outstanding artists. I wish all the artists performing tonight the very best for an exciting performance and continued success. Please accept my best wishes for an enjoyable and memorable event.

Red Nation Celebration Concert Series launches a SUMMER SERIES. Red Nation Celebration "Native Women In Music" opens the summer season at The John Anson Ford Amphitheater. This was the first time in the history of The John Anson Ford Theatre had American Indian Contemporary & Traditional Music was heard and experienced.

Mayor James Hahn announces that: AMERICAN INDIAN MUSIC MONTH Whereas, Music is a basic part of all cultures, communities and celebrations around the world; and Whereas, American Indian people were the first inhabitants of this land, and American Indian Music is the original music of this land; and Whereas, the City of Los Angeles has provided a depiction of American Indians to the general populous; and Whereas, the City of Los Angeles is the recognized entertainment and music recording capital of the world; and Whereas, the Annual Red Nation Celebration Concert SUMMER Series promotes the awareness and recognition of traditional and contemporary American Indian music and artists, and is being held on May 30th, 2003: NOW, THEREFORE, I,JAMES K. HAHN, Mayor of the City of Los Angeles do proclaim the month of June 2003 as "AMERICAN INDIAN MUSIC MONTH" in the City of Los Angeles.

Rick Auerbach Assessor of Los Angeles County announces that: Whereas, The John Anson Ford Theatre is presenting a historic American Indian event as a summer season opener, hosting a Native Women In Music concert to sponsor The Red Nation Celebration honoring a culture of traditional dance and music, and Whereas, Red Nation Celebration is the world's largest archival home of American Indian songwriters, poets, chiefs, dancers and storytellers; and Whereas, Los Angeles county has the largest urban American Indian population in the United States and now hosts this nonprofit dance and music festival and marketplace showcasing Native products: Now, therefore, be it resolved that I, Rick Auerbach, Assessor of the County of Los Angeles, on the 30th day of May 2003, commend and congratulate Red Nation Celebration. Red Nation in partnership with Toys R Us and Galpin Ford donates $4000 worth of toys to the children on the Rose Bud reservation in South Dakota.

Red Nation announces its "Literacy Program" to three different reservations across the country. AZ - Navajo reservation, Pine Ridge and Rose Bud reservations.

Red Nation announces An Educational Traditional Music Program. Traditional Indian music in elementary school in Los Angeles. This Traditional American Indian music program will be implemented in the school curriculum September 2007.

Red Nation, Toys R Us and Gifts In Kind give $10,000 worth of toys to the Rose Bud Reservation at Crow Dog's Paradise summer 2002.

Red Nation Honored at annual concert series: Larry Sellers and Michael Horse gave Red Nation Drum to our Skywalkers (American Indian Men Who Built the Twin Towers), Dan Aykroyd gave Red Nation Drum to our Navajo Code Talkers and Tal Finney Adviser to Gray Davis gave our Red Nation Drum to Edward Albert Jr. (Commissioner of American Indian Affairs for the State of California).

Red Nation Records releases its first CD.

Red Nation Celebration Concert Series and non-profit organzation moves to Los Angeles, CA. Its mission when first launching Red Nation was to be in the forefront of the music industry by producing its concert series during the most important weeks of the music industry "The Grammy Awards."

Red Nation Celebration Concert Series Contemporary & Traditional American Indian Music & Dance launches in Los Angeles, Ca four nights before Grammy Awards at The Roxy Theatre. Special Guests: Gary Busey, RedBone, Larry Sellers, Julie Christenson, Gary Framer, Aaron White, Joanelle Romero, Sage. Concert was dedciated to the Late Rick Danko from The Band.

Red Nation Celebration Concert Series brought The "Pow Wow" back to Indian Market. Indian Market had not had a pow Wow there for over 20 years.

Red Nation Celebration announces its move to Los Angeles CA. Red Nation's goal was to have American Indian music be heard and experienced by industry professionals and be produced during the Grammy Awards week.

Red Nation Celebration Concert Series founder Joanelle Romero launches NATIVE WOMEN IN MUSIC"

Mayor Debbie Jaramillo gives Red Nation Celebration a procalamtion annoucing that August 17, 1996 is "NATIVE AMERICAN WOMEN'S DAY IN SANTA FE" NM.

WHEREAS, it is recognized that Native American Women have played an importanat role in the history and survival of Indian people down through the centuries; and WHEREAS, it is acknowledged that Native American Women continue to play an important role within the growth and development of Indian communties; and WHEREAS, it is appreciated that Native American Women are the primary educators and nuturers of the future generations of Indian people; and WHEREAS, the second annual Red Nation Celebration is honoring, recognizing and celebrating the contributions made by Native American Women; and WHEREAS, the second annual Red Nation Celebration is hosting a concert which features Native American Women In Music; NOW, THEREFORE, I, DEBBIE JARAMILLO, Mayor of the City of Santa Fe, do hereby proclaim August 17, 1996 as: "NATIVE AMERICAN WOMEN'S DAY IN SANTA FE' and urge everyone in our community to recognize and support their efforts.

In 1998 Joanelle Romero was asked by Grammy Award - winnner Sarah McLachlan to perform on Sarah's "Lilith Fair," Joanelle Romero was the only American Indian perform on this tour.

Actress, singer-songwriter, director, producer Joanelle Romero founded and launces the first contemporary & tradaitional American Indian concert series during the Famous Indian Market in Santa Fe NM. THE ANNUAL RED NATION CELEBRATION CONCERT SERIES was born.

This was the first time that Contemporary American Indian music was performed during Indian Market. Red Nation also launced during the concert series a FREE Afternoon Youth Concert. Native Youth was bused in from all reservations and pueblos from around NM & AZ each year.

For the next three years Red Nation provided "native youth" positive experiences of role models in the performing arts. Since moving Red Natioin to Los Angeles in 2000; To this day 2006 in Santa Fe during Indian Market there has never been another native youth concert event.

11 years later you can be sure that when you attend Indian Market in Santa Fe NM (August) you will be able to expereince and hear contemporary Amercian Indian music; thanks to Red Nation Celebration launch and all of its performing artists.
