What is Red Nation Celebration? Established in 1995, Red Nation Celebration (RNC) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support American Indian performing artists through education and introduction to mainstream media, and to educate the public on American Indian cultural and artistic expression. Founded by Joanelle Romero, RNC began in Santa Fe, New Mexico as part of the world famous Indian Market and is now recognized as a Grammy event producer, showcasing many
American Indian recording artists, Grammy winners, and nominees to the world.
RNC is also the world's largest archival home of American Indian songwriters, artists, poets, traditional dancers, and storytellers. A 21-year history of archival performance footage has been enhanced by interviews with the artists themselves, speaking about their music, their inspirations, their dreams and their homeland.
