2nd Annual Los Angeles RED NATION RESPECTING THE WATER OF LIFE CEREMONY Water is very sacred to the indigenous peoples of this land. It is the bloodline to Mother Earth. There is only one water, one earth, one sky, one moon, one sun. City officials, Red Nation Celebration supporters and Spiritual Leaders will hold a public ceremony at the L.A. River. Our ceremony includes traditional song, inner alignment with the element of water and traditional blessing.

1st Annual HELP THE EARTH: Environmental Youth Empowerment Summit 200 youth speak out on the environment. Sessions include Global Warming, Water, Air, Energy, Animals and Social Justice. Held in conjunction with ten LAUSD schools.

1st Annual Red Nation GRAND ENTRY PARADE All Indigenous communities of the Americas are invited to participate in this first American Indian Parade in the City of Los Angeles. To include floats with Native themes and Pow Wow princes and princesses, singers, dancers and children in regalia, mounted riders, natives in low rider cars, tribal elders and prominent members of the Native American community and veterans.
Also to include a contingent of city and government officials, celebrities, community organizations & socially responsible businesses and individuals that support American Indians. Free public event.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa & The City of Los Angeles will officially announce and recognize our American Indian Heritage Month in the City of Los Angeles, and acknowledge Red Nation Celebration as spearheading this historic event. American Indian artists, public, community members, celebrities, city officials, are all welcome to attend.

Location: Betty Davis Park is a small area in the north-west corner of Griffith Park in Glendale (just east of the equestrian center), at the corner of Victory Boulevard and Riverside Drive.
