In 2001 Red Nation Records was founded by recording artist Joanelle Romero. Red Nation Records is the only American Indian music label in Los Angeles, CA.

In the first year of Red Nation Records, two albums were released and cleared in first round in Grammy Nomination consideration in 5 categories. "The 5th Annual LIVE Red Nation Celebration Concert Series" and "Come and Get Your Love Boy" a re-make of Redbones orginial "Come and Get Your Love".

In 2003 in 10 categories for Grammy Nomination consideration, including the Native category for the LIVE CD "The 6th Annual Red Nation Celebration Concert Series"

In 2004 in 13 categories for Grammy Nomination consdieration for the LIVE DOUBLE CD "The 8th Annual Red Nation Celebration Concert Series"

In 2005 in 10 categories for Grammy Nomination consdieration for the CD "The BEST OF JOANELLE ROMERO aka REDHAWK"
